Rooftop Movies Return in Perth With Nineties & Noughties Nostalgia

Rooftop Movies – Perth’s most spectacular urban outdoor cinema – kicks off its summer season on Saturday, 3 November with a crowd-pleasing line-up of blockbusters, new releases and throwback favourites and a brand new look that will take a night at the movies to a whole new level.

Now in its seventh year, the pop-up movie destination, perched six floors up above the hustle and bustle of Northbridge, boasts enviable city sunset views and, with its comfy beanbags and delicious food and beverage offerings, is the perfect date night location or place to catch up with your mates.

This year, Rooftop Movies is taking its unique experience to the next level with a stunning new look and feel, including a playful new installation and a special reserved seating area with couples’ beanbags. There will also be a smorgasbord of new food options, including locally-made treats from Chicho Gelato and La Paleta – the perfect accompaniment to a warm summer night of movies on the roof.

Program 1 runs from Saturday, 3 November through to Friday, 9 December and features unmissable new releases like Bohemian RhapsodyA Star is Born and First Man, lovable 90’s throwbacks like George of the Jungle and epic edge-of-your-beanbag blockbusters like Point Break. There’ll even be a screening of The Lizzie McGuire Movie for some fun noughties’ nostalgia.

Rooftop Movies is presented by the team behind FRINGE WORLD Festival, the largest and most popular annual event in Western Australia. Rooftop Movies Manager, Courtney Meagher said “Rooftop Movies is an iconic Perth summer activity. This season we’re taking everything people love about Rooftop Movies and making it bigger and better than ever!”

Rooftop Movies will run from 3 November 2018 to 30 March 2019. View Program 1 or purchase tickets and gift vouchers from 17 October at:
