Using video and audio from the series, along with projections, props and a total commitment to the original soundtrack this show takes the audience on a journey through a strange and mysterious world. This will be held on Thursday 28th April at the Jetty Memorial Theatre.

Then, introducing Surfing Soundwaves Feat. Headland, which will host the premiere of award-winning Australian director Jolyon Hoff’s (The Staging Post, SWIFF’18) epic new film, That Was Then, This is Now, with Australian composers Headland, on Saturday 30th April at the CHEC Theatre. The Surf Film Archive, Light Sound Art Film, and SWIFF have teamed up with Headland to create a pulsing audio-visual experience celebrating the birth of Australia’s surf culture. Examining Australia’s cultural identity as a surfing nation, this film presents restored and remastered Australian and New Zealand original surf films, uncovering remarkable never-seen-before footage, preserving these influential moving pictures for future generations.
