“This is a momentous morning for THE SECRET AGENT and Brazilian cinema. Three historic nominations. Playing Armando was a very meaningful lesson to always look inward and reflect on what it means to maintain one’s integrity under pressure. Now, more than ever I hope this film continues to encourage people to stick to their values in the darkest of times. Thank you so much to the Golden Globes and congratulations to my fellow nominees - Bravo! And my deepest admiration goes to Kleber Mendonça Filho, my dear friend, for giving me the gift of this story and character. I am so proud of this film - Obrigado!!!"

“Feeling so deeply grateful today for my THE SMASHING MACHINE family. Thank you to the Golden Globes for this inspiring recognition and celebration of the experience that we all had making the film.
And wow my FIRST Golden Globe nomination - it’s humbling and surreal all at once! My absolute honor to be included with such a tremendous cadre of artists whose extraordinary performances all have raised the standard.
Getting the opportunity to live in the skin of Mark Kerr was the most life changing and beautiful experience of my career - and my gratitude runs deep to Mark for trusting me with his story and ultimately, trusting me with his life. Celebrating my brother and our fearlessly empathetic director, the brilliant and hungry Benny Safdie - and I count my lucky stars to have the greatest scene partner of all time, Emily Blunt, whose RAW, heart wrenching, and lived in performance as Dawn Staples, moves us all to aching tears. Still in awe of the transformative, prosthetic make-up work of the great, Kazu Hiro and all of the crew who truly became a family and left it all on the screen. This was the unlocking experience of a lifetime and I’m so, so deeply grateful. Mahalo nui loa.”

“Thank you so much to the Golden Globes for this nomination. Historically, this is the first time a Brazilian film has received three nominations, and Wagner becoming the first Brazilian nominated for Best Actor makes us all very happy. I’m so proud to share in this recognition, which places our work among a long list of very prestigious films. The journey of this film — with its incredible crew and amazing cast, has led us to this astounding moment. From all the work we did on set and throughout the production in Brazil, to recently speaking with the supportive press and audiences about the film and sharing this joy with everyone who helped bring it to life, it has been an unforgettable experience. "It’s the greatest honor to be recognized among artists whose work has given us some of the most magical films of the year.
We want to thank our incredible team at our studio in Paris - animators, background designers, layout artists, compositing artists - who meticulously crafted the film with us over the past five years.
ARCO was always meant to feel like a hug. The film came to life during a moment when the world felt uncertain. Creating it became a way to choose hope and an invitation to face big questions with openness rather than fear.
Thank you to NEON, our financiers, and the entire village who believed in this process and allowed us to make a film we’re so proud of. If ARCO encourages someone to bring a little more light into their own world, then the film has already done what we hoped it would."
– Ugo Bienvenu, Félix de Givry, Sophie Mas and Natalie Portman, Golden Globe nominees, Best Motion Picture – Animated, ARCO
“What a morning. I am overwhelmed with emotion. Thank you to the Golden Globes for acknowledging electronic music’s power to connect us to something deeper, visceral and transcendental. I owe my greatest thanks to our visionary director, Oliver Laxe who, from the beginning, believed the soundscape could help shape the story of SIRĀT, creating a powerful, immersive experience. I am simply happy that SIRĀT has resonated with audiences, as an artist, that is all I could ever ask for.”
-Kangding Ray, Golden Globe nominee, Best Original Score, SIRĀT
"Thank you, Golden Globes, and congrats to my SINNERS family! This was by far my most challenging and rewarding performance— bringing to life (and death) two distinct brothers in SINNERS. We are only here because of the brilliance and relentless fearlessness of Ryan Coogler. A decade after we first started working together, Coogler once again pushed us to unlock another level together. This film, built upon layers of complexities, taps into all of our histories. It’s a movie about love and loss, and asks us — what is the price of freedom? By recognizing this film, you are honoring our legacy and the legacy of an industry built on bold, original storytelling. THANK YOU. "
Michael B. Jordan, Golden Globe nominee, Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture- Drama
My heart is filled with gratitude at the news of the nominations from the Golden Globes. I am honored to be recognized along with Zinzi Coogler, Sev Ohanian, Ludwig Goransson, Raphael Saadiq, and the great Michael B. Jordan, who was able to deliver two incredibly layered performances. Mike often makes carving characters into the global cultural consciousness look easy. Having worked with Michael for well over a decade I’ve seen him do it from up close again and again, but from day one on Sinners, I knew he was on a different level this time. We were all in awe at his artistry, determination, and discipline while bringing Smoke and Stack to life, and I knew it would register with audiences, but I secretly hoped that the highwire act of these two performances would not be overlooked. I’m so excited that his work was recognized.
Sinners was a team effort and a family affair. We assembled an impeccable cast and dedicated crew who are all masters at their craft. The story was built out of a love for my uncle, a passion for the theatrical experience, and an obsession with America’s greatest contribution to global popular culture- Blues music. That I had the opportunity to make this film with this cast and had WB release it to packed theaters all over the world was gift enough, but the reality that Sinners is still being thought of nearly eight months after our initial release is an incredible blessing. Thank you to the Golden Globes, to WB, to our cast and crew, and to everyone keeping discussion about our film alive.
Ryan Coogler, Director, Screenwriter, Producer of SINNERS
We are deeply grateful to the Golden Globes for this incredible recognition. Sinners is the result of hundreds of artists across every department pushing themselves to make something bold, ambitious, and full of heart. To be honored across seven categories means the world to us. Michael B. Jordan’s extraordinary dual performance lifted this film to another level, while the entire cast showed their incredible talent in every scene, and our music team poured their souls into creating the heart of this film. Though Sinners is rooted in the Mississippi Delta, it was made for audiences everywhere, and Warner Bros made that possible, delivering the film on the biggest screens across the globe. Seeing the global press respond to it this way is profoundly meaningful for all of us.
