AGSC Screen Composers Conference The Scoring Summit has released its full program

PRESS RELEASE

The AGSC Screen Composers Conference The Scoring Summit has released its full program with over 30 leading composers and industry experts speaking in panels or in one-on-one sessions.

The summit will be held at AFTRS’ Sydney campus on December 6 and 7.

“This is the biggest and most comprehensive conference for screen composers ever to occur in Australia,” said Bronte Horder, composer and AGSC Board member. “We have designed the conference to cater for all screen composers no matter their level of experience or training.”

In addition to panel discussions and keynotes with composers such as ANTONY PARTOS, BURKARD DALLWITZ, MONTAIGNE, CORNEL WILCZEK, CAITLIN YEO, JOFF BUSH, ELLIOT WHEELER,  CHARLIE CHAN, JED KURZEL, DALE CORNELIUS, DAN GOLDING, ALEX OLIJNYK, THOMAS ROUCH and WILLIAM BARTON, other industry speakers and moderators include SALLY AITKEN (Director), MILLIE MILLGATE (Director of Music Australia), CAMERON PATRICK (Head of Screen Composing, AFTRS),  ANGELA LITTLE (Composer), JESSICA WELLS (Composer and Music supervisor), NOEL BURGESS (Lecturer in Music, Western Sydney University) and JOSH HOGAN (Composer, Envelope Audio)

As part of the Summit there will be an opportunity to directly connect with various members of the screen industry with the “One-on-One” sessions. These 10-minute chats with industry professionals will allow composers to understand the industry and make new connections. Some of the professionals in the sessions include MITCH STEWART (The DA’s Office), PASHA OSTOVAR (Screen lead APRA AMCOS), ROSEMARY BLIGHT (Producer at Goalpost Pictures), DARREN ASHTON (Director), ANTONY PARTOS (Sonar Music), NOEL CLEARY (Flying Bark Productions), ROB GLASS (Media Arts Law), ELAINE BECKETT (Trackdown Studios),

“The AGSC Screen Composers conference is not just for screen composers, it is for all screen industry creatives who want to understand and develop their relationships with composers. Panels on music supervision, AI, contracts, royalties and soundtracks are just a few of the sessions over the two days in December,” said AGSC Executive Director Kingston Anderson.

Tickets prices have now been reduced to make the conference more accessible but are limited.
