HOYTS will be hosting special advance screenings of the forthcoming Australian release Spit, the sequel to the 2003 crime-comedy Gettin’ Square, which will include a live question and answer session with lead Australian actor and producer David Wenham.
The HOYTS live Q&A sessions will take place in Wollongong at HOYTS Warrawong on Saturday 22 February at 6:00pm and in Perth at HOYTS Carousel on Tuesday 4 March at 6:45pm.
HOYTS Director of Sales, Marketing and Content Stephanie Mills said that having the film’s lead actor and producer present at these Q&As is a unique opportunity for the fans to engage further in the excitement of the film’s release.
“David Wenham is one of Australia’s most notable talents and his participation at the live Q&A sessions at our advance screenings for Spit is sure to offer fans some incredible insight,” Stephanie said.
“For WA, in addition to having David Wenham at the event, the HOYTS Carousel live Q&A session will also include YouTube stars Sam and Teagan Rybka who also feature in the film.

Spit is a hilarious crime-drama about small-time ex-criminal, Johnny ‘Spit’ Spitteri, who finds himself locked up in an immigration detention centre upon his return to Australia after being on the run and overseas for the past 20 years. While inside the detention centre, ‘Spit’ makes new friends and teaches them what Australian mateship is all about.
