Hamish Blake enlists friends Sophie Monk, Guy Montgomery, Andy Lee and more to prove it’s never too late to learn a new skill in trailer debut for Unskilled Adult

Stan and UA Productions have today released the trailer for the brand new Stan Original series Unskilled Adult. In this hilarious eight-part series, ‘CEO’ Hamish Blake and his ‘employees’ prove it’s never too late to learn a new skill  - even if you have absolutely no idea what you’re doing. Episodes 1 & 2 of Unskilled Adult will debut on November 1, only on Stan, with new episodes weekly.

Across eight episodes, Hamish and a revolving workforce of equally underqualified friends from the entertainment world will tackle a challenge none of them are remotely prepared for. The employees include Becky Lucas, Hugh van Cuylenburg, Anne Edmonds, Lloyd Langford, Sophie Monk, Dom Littrich, Ryan Shelton, Susie Youssef, Bret McKenzie, Lu Dal Din, Melanie Bracewell, Alexei Toliopoulos, Andy Lee, Jack Post, Guy Montgomery and Abby Howells.

Tasks range from welding a trailer to catering a wedding, drywalling a salami shed and sewing costumes for a community theatre. Hamish and his team will jump in at the deep end and use their wits and lateral thinking to make up for the years of training and experience they’re missing. They discover that being a beginner is equal parts frustrating, exhilarating, and ridiculous. At the end of each job, the client decides what the work is actually worth and how much, if anything, they’re prepared to pay.

At its heart, Unskilled Adult is a funny and optimistic celebration of having a go, being useless at something new and discovering that you’re never too old, or too unskilled, to learn.

Unskilled Adult is created and produced by UA Productions. Executive producers include Blake, Tim Bartley (Hamish and Andy’s Gap Year, True Story with Hamish and Andy), Greg Sitch (Fisk, Guy Montgomery’s Guy-Mont Spelling Bee) and Plum Stubbings (Crime Night!, True Story with Hamish and Andy). Michael Healy and Adrian Swift are executive producers for 9Network and Stan.

The Stan Original Unskilled Adult premieres November 1 with a double episode, only on Stan. New episodes weekly.
