The Come Alive Show Brings Film, Fashion, Art & Music to the Astor Theatre

Taking place on Friday 23 October 2026 at Melbourne’s iconic Astor Theatre, The Come Alive Show offers a fresh take on film premieres, celebrating Melbourne talent through the intersection of cinema, visual art, music and performance.

The evening begins with an art exhibition before moving into a curated programme of three short films, introduced by an opera performance by Jameson Butler and an intermission with a ballet duet performed by Eva Black and Summer Bramblebee accompanied by Lauren Merry & Anita Freeman live on the violin and cello. Extending beyond the traditional film premiere, the event brings together different artistic disciplines in a shared celebration of creativity.

Inspired by dandyism, The Come Alive Show also embraces fashion, individuality and self-expression, creating a space for Melbourne’s creative culture to intersect and thrive.
