The Perth Comedy Festival has been teasing the 2026 line-up for months and can now reveal the full list of local, national and international stand-up comedians and performance artists coming to Perth 20 April – 17 May.
Global comedy heavyweights include the likes of critically acclaimed Scotsman Daniel Sloss – one of the most successful stand-ups of his generation; Irish comedy powerhouse Joanne McNally – hailed by Variety as ‘One to Watch’; Barcelona-based Irish comedian Kyla Cobbler, who shot to fame through her viral Instagram reels; and Canada’s Colin Mochrie & Assad Mecci who join forces for HYPROV – Improv Under Hypnosis.
We welcome the return of Malaysian doctor-turned-comedian Dr Jason Leong, UK-born, AU-resident Nurse Georgie Carroll, Hong Kong’s Chan Lok Tim who delivers his show entirely in Cantonese and Perth’s most dependable annual visitor, Ireland’s David O’Doherty – back with his tiny keyboard and big laughs.
Fellow Irishfolk include; master storyteller Chris Kent, and Enya Martin, Mike Rice and Alison Spittle – all making their Perth Comedy Festival debuts.
The English contingent includes the likes of comedy maverick Elf Lyons, Russian-British comedian Olga Koch, award-winning stand-up comedian, writer and viral content creator Daniel Fox, the 27-year old dyspraxic, gay, Mancunian Manchild that is Dan Tiernan, Festival stalwart Stephen K Amos and UK Drag Queen Myra DuBois – the self-declared siren from South Yorkshire portrayed by Gareth Joyner.
From the USA we welcome Abby Govindan and Rosebud Baker, Tom Sainsbury from across the ditch in NZ, Singaporean stand-up powerhouse Fadzri Rashid, professionally known as Fakkah Fuzz, and Danish comedian Sofie Hagen.
We celebrate comedy milestones with the 25th anniversary of Speedmouse, the iconic show from The Umbilical Brothers, alongside 20 Years of the hilarious, bizarre and unforgettable Tape Face (NZ) – a show that truly has to be seen to be believed.
Aussie comedy legend Jimmy Rees, larrikins and popular YouTubers The Fairbairns, join the delightfully unhinged office satire of Wankernomics, acclaimed storyteller Josh Thomas, delivering sharp, smart and deeply personal comedy.
Other Australian names include Bron Lewis, Blake Pavey, Carly Electric, Nazeem Hussain, Dave Hughes, Heath Franklin’s Chopper, Geraldine Hickey, Lou Wall, Jenny Tian, Frenchy, Emma Holland, Chris Parker, Dan Rath, Daniel Connell, Damien Power, Dave Thornton, Laura Davis, Nath Valvo, Nick Cody, Nikki Britton, Zoe Coombs Marr, Matt Okine, Zachary Ruane (Aunty Donna), Australia’s first attractive comedian™ Elouise Eftos, Rohan Arneil, Daniel Muggleton, Cassie Workman.
Specialty comedy nights include Teacher Comedy Night, Future Science Talks and The Unhelpful Therapist – where we join former newspaper columnist Dave Crisante for a wild show where advice-giving takes a hilariously misguided turn.
Plus, comedian and former journalist Dave Crisante explores the accidental brilliance of humanity in Dumb Inventions (That Changed the World), exploring the accidental brilliance of humanity in this show that somehow reassures us that perhaps there’s a genius inside each one of us…
The jewel in the crown – The Perth Comedy Festival Gala’s – run on Wednesday’s throughout the festival ( 29 April, 6 May and 13 May). The festival’s late-night comedy variety show Hour of Power returns to Rechabite Hall on Thursdays (30 April, 7 May and 14 May), delivering a rapid-fire fix of comedy for night owls and showcasing a rotating lineup of festival favourites and surprise guests. Aboriginal Comedy Allstars featuring Australia’s premier First National comedians – Andy Saunders, Elaine Crombie, Janty Blair, Jay Wymarra, Kevin Kropinyeri and Sean Choolburra. Add to that WA Comedy AllStars proving that West really does it best, and Best of the Fest International, where a global lineup delivers short, sharp sets packed with their very best material.
The Perth Comedy Festival will run from 20 April – 17 May.
