Vantra Film Festival Launches in Melbourne and will take place on March 8 2026 at FOMO Cinemas in Brunswick.
Open to filmmakers from all countries, the festival accepts short films of all genres, under 40 minutes and completed within the last five years. Submissions are open via FilmFreeway.
The Films will be selected by a panel of local creatives. The screening aims to highlight a range of independent voices and original approaches to filmmaking.
“Vantra exists to showcase films that are thoughtful, personal, and made with purpose,” said Festival Director Nathan Still.
Awards include Best Australian Short Film and Best International Short Film. Selected films will screen at FOMO Cinemas as part of the festival program.
Vantra is supported by local partners and organisations contributing prizes and opportunities for participating filmmakers.
