PRESS RELEASE

Directors Dylan Randall & Jules Burton present WA’s First Original Motion Picture Musical, Sweet Rhythm! Get ready to be rockin', disco groovin' and jazz swingin' as we take you back to 1977 in the comfort of your own home, now available to rent or buy on digital platforms!

With 12 original Songs, disco groovin’ choreography and a story that’ll have you laughing, crying and singing along, get ready for Sweet Rhythm: The Original Motion Picture Musical. Dubbed ‘The most ambitious and impossible idea!’, by WA industry professionals, a team of Mandurah creatives made WA history, defining the critics and creating the first musical film to be written, produced and shot locally.

Jennifer, a young Jazz enthusiast, is struggling to embrace her love for music while trying to win her mother’s approval when she meets the rebellious hippie Stephanie, and the rock ’n’ roll musician Dani, who flip her world inside out and take her on a disco groovin’, rockin’ rollin’ and jazz swinging adventure across the 70s to save the family diner.

Featuring local WA locations such as Pop’s Diner & Theatre Restaurant, ManPAC, Ellington Jazz and Peel Manor, Sweet Rhythm takes popular locations and sends them back to a town in 1977 where a song and dance is right around every corner.

Get ready to dance around your lounge room tonight as Sweet Rhythm is available now to rent or buy via YouTube Movies, Google Play or Vimeo!
