The Scone Film Festival Is Back With Award Winner Hatchback and More

After a Covid enforced two year intermission, Scone Short Film Festival returns on Saturday 17th September, with an array of award-winning Australian short films.

Come and celebrate world class, vibrant, storytelling talent, in the beautiful Hunter Valley.  Now in its twelfth year, the festival is a celebration of Australian short films.  There is something for everyone, from comedy and drama to suspense.

Experience a film-lover’s delight, with actors including Harry Greenwood, Steve Bisley, Stephen Curry and Jackson Tozer.

The diverse program includes Giants, this year’s FlickerFest Winner of Best Australian Short.  Also, CinefestOZ winner Hatchback, which earned Best Director for a short film,  and the locally filmed psychological drama, The Stranger.

Meet our film guests, and chat to producers and directors about the making of their films.  Budding film-makers and actors will be able to pick up some tips and advice.

Vote for your favourite film in the People’s Choice Award, which will be announced on the night.  Maybe you will be the winner of the lucky door prize.

It’s a really social evening, starting at 6.30pm with a light supper included, and wine available to purchase.  The film program starts at 7.30pm.  Afterwards, chat with our film guests about their films and enjoy delicious slices and coffee.

Scone Films will be rolling out the red carpet for guests and filmgoers, at their pop-up community cinema on the corner of Oxford Road and Cooper Street in Scone, NSW at 6.30pm on Saturday 17th September.

With just two weeks to go, don’t miss out on a fantastic night to remember.  Get your tickets from  www.sconefilms.org.au and from Hunt a Book in Scone.
