Andrew’s 91st Academy Award Nomination Predictions

The 91st Academy Award nominations will be announced on January 22nd at 5:20am PST (9:20pm WST/12:20am EST). You can watch them roll out live here.

I won’t go into too much depth into my predictions as they’ll really only be relevant for the next day or so. I will say this: the old adage that ‘nobody knows anything’ is as apt as it has ever been, with Green Book and Bohemian Rhapsody stirring the pot with being potential history makers, all the while some of the finest films of 2018 are also vying for major attention – Roma, BlacKkKlansman, A Star is Born.

The Oscar narrative has been running for a long while with lead up awards shows trying to shape the race. The Golden Globes, the PGA, SAG, the BAFTA’s, the WGA – all of these awards shows are small change compared to the big event.

The Academy Awards will be held on February 24th 5:00pm PST (February 25th 9:00am WST/12:00pm EST).
